Can you scope the sewer line if the home inspector we chose doesn't provide that service?
Yes. We'll run an HD camera through the line and walk you through what we find.
What if the line really does need work?
We'll explain the options plainly, with real numbers. For example, a line with a small belly can be dug up and repaired — or hydro jetted every five or six years to keep it flowing. Either can be the right call, and we're happy to go over them with the buyer or the seller.
If I'm selling my home, can the repairs be paid for out of the proceeds at closing?
Yes. We can arrange for the cost of the repair to be escrowed at closing. We schedule the work for the morning of closing, and once it's done the title company pays us from the escrowed funds — so you don't have to put it on a credit card.
